Cost
The package price for eyelid surgery in Bexleyheath starts from £2,350, which includes consultation and surgery, all as a one stop process. The figure you are given at your consultation is the figure you pay. No separate consultation fee, no theatre fee, no follow-up fee added afterwards.
What happens
It starts with a free video call with the surgeon, not a form-filling appointment with a consultant who does not operate.

Around 60 minutes at our Bexleyheath clinic, under local anaesthetic. You are awake and comfortable throughout, and you go home a short while afterwards. Arrange a lift rather than driving.
Sutures come out at around a week, the wounds are checked, and you get scar care advice. Bruising settles over one to two weeks.

Blepharoplasty is a small operation, but it is an operation. Dr Ouali will go through all of this with you before you decide anything, and you will be given it in writing to take away.

Most of Dr Ouali’s eyelid work is upper lid surgery. Lower eyelid surgery is taken on selectively, so it is assessed case by case at consultation.
Yes. Upper blepharoplasty is performed under local anaesthetic, so the area around your eyes is completely numb but you stay awake. There is no general anaesthetic and no overnight stay.
Most people take between nothing and five days, depending on how visible their job is. Swelling and bruising usually settle over one to two weeks. Avoid strenuous activity for four weeks, and do not wear make-up or contact lenses until you are told it is fine.
The incision sits inside the natural crease of the lid, so once healed it is hidden when your eyes are open. Scars fade over several months. They do not disappear entirely, and how they settle varies between people.
Upper blepharoplasty is long lasting and many people are happy with the result ten years later or more. It does not stop you ageing, so gradual change over time is normal.
Eyelid surgery is typically done for individuals over 40 when signs of ageing become noticeable. However, many people in their 30s also choose blepharoplasty due to concerns like prominent under-eye bags or excess skin on the upper eyelids. We treat adults over 18 only, and what matters most is your general health, your eye health and realistic expectations.
Occasionally. If sagging upper lids are genuinely obstructing your field of vision, some areas will fund surgery, and your GP can tell you the criteria where you live. Where it is done for appearance, it is not NHS funded.
